hello.
I have seen a lot of articles about the restore process, but I was wondering if a Veeam bare metal backup would require shutting down the source machine? would I have to boot to a Veeam bootable usb or something or can it be backed up "on the fly"
i'm needing backups for a RHEL 6, 7, and 8 servers.
thanks in advance for any assistance you might provide!

Re: bare metal backup option for linux
Hello, Veeam backs up exclusively live machines, so on the fly. We actually do NOT currently provide a bootable USB option (aka live CD) for performing backups. Thanks

Re: bare metal backup option for linux
Thanks! So is there an agent that runs on the machine that will be backed up?
