CBT Driver - Not Installing on Physical Box
When trying to update the agent that worked but the CBT driver for my one physical server shows this error -
CBT driver installation completed with warning: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: ptr
I am going to investigate the logs but wondered if there is any easy fix for this? I have rebooted the server, etc. several times. This is after updating to Update 3 today.

Here is the case I just opened - # 02431896
Thanks for passing it on. I did find the CBT Driver folder from the logs and tried to manually install using the INF file (right-click > Install) and have rebooted. Will see what happens with this.

By the looks of the error, installation process runs into some unexpected configuration... likely making it a bug on our side. But let's wait for the official conclusion!

Thanks everyone for the help. I have tried installing via the INF file in the CBT Drivers folder so we will see what happens. The installation on my other Veeam server (Physical) was no issue at all using the console. Only difference is that it is Windows 2016 instead of 2008 R2 which is the problem one. However, my Exchange servers are 2008 R2 and they worked fine to install just need to find time to reboot.

UPDATE
After using the right-click, Install option on the INF file in the CBT Driver folder (OS specific), then rebooting it showed the driver as still not installed. I then selected to install the CBT Driver from the console and it went through successfully and now shows the driver as being installed.
Maybe a workaround for those that have the issue with the installer working like me.

Glad to hear it! Just to clarify, you rebooted the host before installation and then installed the CBT driver or you clicked install driver without performing reboot? Thanks in advance.

You can uninstall driver normally via Add/Remove Programs.
