Cloud Connect (DR question)

We have cloud connect without DRAS, but if we lost our site there appears to be no way of getting to the backups other than building a new Veeam server connected to a domain and Vcentre server. Is there a way of accessing the backups and downloading through a veeam tool?

Depends on your service provider, check with them on what are the other options:
- Some can ship you your backups on external media
- Some can restore them to their own data center or public cloud (to get you up and running quick)

I checked with them and DRAS seemed to be the only viable option at a large increase in costs. This makes the cloud connect next to useless for DR for our environment unless we pay the provider for their DRAS option.
