Cloud Connect Version 10 Back Compat

We are looking at upgrading to Cloud Connect version 10. However, almost all of our clients are still on Backup and Replication 9.5 4b. Can that version of B&R backup to Cloud Connect 10?

Hey James.

Yes, you should have gotten the VCSP release notes/document at the time of RTM. Clients need to be on at least 9.5 GA with a VCSP who has upgraded to v10.

Backward Compatibility and Veeam Platform Support:
Veeam Backup & Replication releases from 9.5 GA (build 9.5.0.711) can write backups via Cloud Connect to a cloud repository on v10. For Cloud Connect Replication, pre vCloud Director Hardware Plan based replicas can go to a cloud host on v10. To take advantage of the vCloud Director based replication, tenants need to be on at least 9.5 Update 4. To take advantage of the new features listed below, all tenants are required to be on v10.

One thing to note, Veeam Agent for Windows v2 doesn't work with Cloud Connect v10, so you'll need to update any of those you may have lying around.

Thanks Steve. Veeam Agent for Windows v2 is near it's end of life (End of Support Details for Veeam Products), so it's worth updating agent to the latest version anyway. Cheers!
