First post here. I've been using Veeam to backup VM's for a while without issues. This is a Windows domain. I added a physical server to backup that is joined to the domain. After doing this, Veeam was attempting to backup workstations / laptops that are joined to the domain. I removed the backup job & use Backup Exec to backup the physical server. Is there a setting in Veeam that I am missing to prevent it from backing all domain joined computers?

Hi Tom

If you have removed all backup jobs, then there shouldn‘t be any backup.
Is it the protection group rescan you see, because the protection group still exists?
Protection group rescan doesn‘t create backips, but it can install/updates veeam agents on the configured source machines.

Thanks

Tom,

Check you protection group configuration maybe you've added entire domain to this protection group and then selected this protection group as a source for your backup job? Thanks!

That might have been the issue. I will re-add the physical server to see if the issue comes back.
