We have a Windows Fail Over Cluster file server that has all multiple iSCSI volumes attached, we back it up with multiple agent jobs. We do this as a) the volumes are each 30TB+ in size b) we apply different retention polices to the jobs c) we have different secondary destinations for the jobs.
When occasionally the failover cluster has a moment, Veeam has to redo the CBT for each of the backup jobs and this takes 30-60 hours per job and hence blocks other agent backups from happening.
It would be great to be able to run multiple agent backups jobs on this one server. I saw this post from a while back
servers-workstations-f49/is-it-possible ... 75360.html
Which said “Vss snapshots should not be done at the same time from two different backup Jobs”. Which makes perfect sense if the second job was running against the same drive/filesystem, but these are separate drives and hence Windows/Veeam could potentially handle concurrent VSS snapshots?

Re: Concurrent agent backup jobs
Hi Jon,
From a technical standpoint, I don't see any obstacles that would make it impossible in future. However, implementing such logic would require significant engineering resources over a long period of time, especially when it comes to testing potential corner cases. In any case, we will continue to track similar requests.
Thanks!
