Deleting source files after successful AIX backup

Post by barrett27 »

Hello,
is there a way even with a script to delete source files after a successful backup on AIX?

I need to backup a folder that contains daily DB2 backup files

Thanks

Hello,

Using Veeam Plug-in for IBM Db2 would be recommended option: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120

But in case you cannot or don't want use Plug-in, you can leverage post-job scripts, which will do cleanup after backup job, for standalone or managed agents.

Hello Rovshan,
cannot use the plug-in for DB2 because the DB2 version is not supported.

Unfortunately the post-job script will be executed even if the job will end with errors.

Do you know a way to catch the backup status at the post-job script execution? I want to delete the DB2 dump only after a valid Veeam backup.

Thanks

Hello,

In which mode are you running the Veeam Agent: standalone or managed by VBR?
