Hello,
we have a windows Share file server as VM on Hyber-V, then we are connected from file server Dell unity storage through ISCSI, due to the limitation of ISCSI Disk attached to VM we are using Veeam Backup Agent to take the daily backup
is there is any way, Veeam backup server connect directly to Storage LUN itself and backup it instead the above scenario. I believe it will be faster and more performance
I notice that I can add the storage on the storage infrastructure as the below image but I can't add it to backup job

Re: Direct backup Storage LUN
Hi Abdou
Welcome to the forum.
You can create backups from storage snapshots. In such a scenario, Veeam Agent would backup any local disk and a Veeam Backup Proxy would backup the data on the ISCSI LUN from a snapshot on the storage system.
The main benefit is to move away the processing load from the production server to the storage system.
All steps are documented here: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
