FEATURE REQUEST - Agent Update Check B&R for Compatability

I have users in a small environment who diligently keep their systems up to date - mostly good except for Veeam Agent for Windows. The backup target specified in the Agent settings is B&R v11 so after a user updates to Agent v6, backups fail with the message "Error: Veeam Backup and Replication version 11.0.1.1261 is not compatible with Veeam Agent for Windows".

I suggest that when the agent offers an update, it should check and warn (or refuse) when updating will make it incompatible with the target.

If you use a Veeam Backup & Replication server as a target for this backups, then I suggest you use protection groups to manage those agents. Protection groups are used to deploy new agent versions.
