In Protection Group properties -> options -> Advanced
I can successfully grant users the ability to "allow file level recovery without administrative account" , but this automagically also enables "restore entire volumes". Is there some way to prohibit this? We definitely do not want users attempting to restore their whole disk(s).
Thanks!

Re: howto prohibit user agent from "restore entire volume" BUT keep "individual files"
Hi
restore entire volumes still requires administrator permission.
Have you tried to start the process as the user? There should be a notification or UAC authentication mask if a standard user tries todo a volume level restore.
Thanks
Fabian

hm, not sure what caused this in the first place, can't reproduce again. Will follow up if any other users report it.
