Hi,
I have 2 repositories Default 1 resist on lokal drive.
The secondary repositories 2 ist created on RDX drive (is connect over USB on that server also).
I created a Job which save the Server2022 and the backup Copy (for mirror purpose).
After the first Job start then the copy job start and copies the repositories to RDX drive.
I can browse into the drives, when I try to restore for example files from that drive.
But If I make a recovery USB stick over the create recovery media an even direkt over the two job (where you can find the IP from the server) I am not able to bare restore ober the RDX repository, which is copied by veeam. It cames this error " Veeam agent for Microsoft is unable to open backup files created by Veeam Backup & Replikation".
If I manually copy repository 1 to 2 then the error does not come.
I tried all parameter in repository (check and uncheck rotating media) and als defined the backup job once over Backup Agent and also over Veeam Backup Replikation. All the time the same error.
My question: does veeam support bare recovery from repository created with veeam Backup Job with mirror function?
If veeam does not support this, is it possible to copy the repository with robocoy to rdx? I muss be sure that it works (restore must be all time possible), because the type help to save the backup offside.
How can I get updates in that application? I could not found any update function build in.
Thanks

Re: mirror Backup Copy Job over Community 12
Hi Janu
Backup files created by a backup copy job must be restored through a Veeam backup repository. The agent cannot read those files directly from the RDX drive..
Make sure those backup files are on a Veeam repository and that you have a user account which have permissions for those repositories.
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=60
Then in the recovery media choose as backup file location <network storage> and then <Veeam backup repository>:

Restore is always possible, but this scenario requires a Veeam Backup & Replication server. Community edition will work. No license required.I muss be sure that it works (restore must be all time possible), because the type help to save the backup offside.
Updates can be downloaded from our download center. I always use our KB articles for an overview of new builds:How can I get updates in that application? I could not found any update function build in.
