Physical Backup failing
Hello,
I'm currently using Veeam B&R 9.5 which is working just fine for my VM's. I tried today to backup a physical workstation, but it keeps failing. I installed the Agent on the workstation and created the Backup job through the Veeam console. It says that it Rescans the Agent successfully, but then it fails on the actual backup. What am I doing wrong?

Hello Patrick,
1. Client with agent: uninstall the agent (and reboot the host it if possible).
2. Veeam B&R Console > Inventory > Protection Group: rescan the protection group with this machine. You should see that installation is performed in the rescan logs.
3. Veeam B&R Console > Home > Managed by agent job: click apply configuration to send the job config to your newly installed agent.
4. Veeam B&R Console > Inventory > Protection Group: to double check hit rescan on your protection group again. You should see the green rescan session with no actions performed
5. Client with agent: login to the machine and you should see Veeam Agent tray, click Backup Now to immoderately perform backup

When I go into the Veeam agent on the client PC, after following the steps you gave, it gives me the Configure Backup screen. Should I be When I try to connect to the Repository, I get an error stating "Unable to detect available repositories. Settings are managed by your system administrator." I'm using port 10001. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Patrick,
After agent is being installed via Veeam B&R console it should be managed via B&R (so it's not possible to change the job configuration on the client side). To configure the backup job you need to go to Veeam B&R > Home node and create a backup job there.

It's still failing when I try to create the job and run it from the Console.

I've got the same problem here.
I've a free trial B&R 9.5.4.2866 installed in my Workstation (OS Windows 10 1903) and when I tried to make a Agent Backup Job of a other Workstatin (entire computer) I've the message "Error: Managed session ... has failed".
