Physical Server to Backup Copy Job

I have an existing backup copy job which backups some of my VMWare jobs to another Veeam server. Apparently it is not possible to add Windows agents backups to this backup copy job. Why not?

The source must be from the same backup type.
Do see any issues in using different copy jobs?

it's no big issue. I am trying to minimize the number of jobs in my system and was wondering why this limitations exists.

Thank you for the feedback, having a backup copy with a different type of backup is a good idea, to simplify the process and for not having more jobs to manage. Consider your feedback noted for future releases.

Glad you've asked! In the upcoming v12 we will make backup copy job platform independent for all image-level backups, so it will be possible to add VMware and Windows backups to a single backup copy job. Stay tuned for v12.
