Quick Backup for Veeam Agent Linux

Hi,

We are managing Veeam agent from Veeam Backup server.
The agent job is set 2 restore point and forever incremental.
When we perform quick backup for Linux machine of the agent job, the newly created restore point is used as a normal restore point.
Result oldest restore point is merged and removed.

Doesn't it incorecct that Quick backup will affect existing restore points?

Or does veeam have a special specification in case of agent backup?

Hello Yukinobu,

It works as described in Agent Management guide (retention is triggered). That said, I do understand that it should work the same way as in vm backup, so consider the improvement request being noted based on your post. Cheers and thank you for bringing this up!

We requested that Quick Backup's restore point for Agent backup behave like a VM backup(Case: #03486859 ).

Is it included in 9.5u4b?

If No, do you know the plan or ETA?

Unfortunately the fix was to complex to include in the Update 4b. It's going to be included in the next major release, thanks!
