Single Cluster Server ReFS

Post by 564890 »

Hi guys, I want to set up a backup server for veeam with 1.5 PB. I have the idea of creating a single cluster with a total volume of 1.5 PB using ReFS. What's your opinion? Should I make multiple clusters or would one be fine? Can you give me any tips on how to set it up?
best regards!

Hi, unless you're feeling adventurous I think with ReFS it will be safer to go with 500TB volumes. Many customers are using such volumes and it works quite well these days. On the other hand, I don't know how many people in this world tried 1.5PB ReFS volumes for Veeam backups but I bet not many... and your path might be full of discoveries :)
