System Reboot Is Required to Continue Installation

Last night, the nightly rescan of one of our protection groups failed on one of the workstations with the error "system reboot is required to continue installation". No Veeam components have been touched on this machine in weeks, so I don't understand how this could have happened. It is a Windows 10 64-bit workstation. Backups ran fine on this box last night. Any ideas?

Hi Tim.

That message means there is a pending reboot on Windows. It has nothing to do with Veeam components.
Like, Windows auto update hit that workstation last night, for example.

Ah, very good to know, thank you Egor!

As feedback to Veeam, it would be helpful if the message was clearer so we would know why it was generated. I will let it sit until the next reboot then.
