VBR11 - Supported Agents

Hello,

after I could not find anything in the current manual, or maybe I read it 3 times over here the question regarding the supported Veeam Agent versions.

As far as I understand it, or assume, only the Agent 5 version is supported by VBR11? So all other agents cannot write backups to a VBR11 repo or connect to a VBR11 server?

Veeam Agent 3 and lower will not work.
Veeam Agent 4 runs in compatibility mode.
Veeam Agent 5 is needed for all the new features.

I will research the documentation for your. I'm pretty sure, it was in the rtm release notes which are send out to each Service Provider.

Starting from version 11, Veeam Backup & Replication deploys Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows 5.0 and Veeam Agent for Linux 5.0 on protected computers.
Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows 4.0 and Veeam Agent for Linux 4.0 and later work with Veeam Backup & Replication 11 as well.

Small addition to Mildur's post: v11 can update all your managed agents from v3 to v5.
