Hy!
I am confused about the Veeam Agent for Microsoft and CBT driver. If I don't install the CBT driver to Windows Server, the Veeam will use the default CBT mechanism during backup. The Windows Server has only NTFS volume. Do I have to install the CBT driver for the best incremental backup performance or is it enough the default CBT?
I have already read this: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=50
Thanks.

Re: Veeam Agent backup with CBT Driver
There is no need. I have started skipping the CBT driver on new deployments, performance is good enough without it even on older systems. Not having to reboot the server is a bonus.

Re: Veeam Agent backup with CBT Driver
Hello,
I would say it depends on a specific environment: if the incremental runs do not fit the backup window due to the default CBT usage, it fully makes sense to install the CBT driver, for example, if you intend to protect a database server.
Thanks!
