Veeam Backup

Post by thesix »

Hello,

We have a small environment and was hoping to get the proper licensing for the following environment. Currently, we have the community edition and it is meeting all our needs but we were hoping to backup to the cloud and to tape.

VMWARE HOST #1
 13 Virtual Machines

VMWARE HOST # 2
 4 Virtual Machines

1 VMWARE HOST #3
 1 Virtual Machine

Physical Host #1

I was looking at the Veeam Backup Essentials and the standard version. Would we need to purchase 4 bundles with 5 instances each?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Hello - yes, 20 instances will cover this. However, Backup to Tape requires Enterprise edition. Thanks!

In addition, if you'd like to use the native S3/Azure Blob functionality for "backup to the cloud" that requires the use of a Scale-out Backup Repository which also requires at least Enterprise Edition.
