Hey guys,
Is it possible to backup a VM which is running on an ESXI server to veeam without installing the veeam agent on this VM?
Best regards

Re: VM Backup without Veeam Agent running on that VM, possible?
Hi Joshima
Yes, with Veeam Backup & Replication you can use a VM image level backup job.
You can start with our quick start guide. The guide explains all necessary steps:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
1.) Add your vCenter or standalone ESXi host to the backup console --> https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
2.) Create a VM backup job and add your VMs --> https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
3.) Run the backup job
Please note, Free ESXi is not supported. For VMs on Free ESXi, our Agent is the only solution to have a full backup of a VM.
Best,
Fabian
