Active Full - Retry

I just had to run an active full monthly tape job pass.

One of the linked jobs failed to back up:
Full backup: BackupSynthesizedStorageToTape failed Tape fatal error. The system cannot find the path specified. Tape write error Exception from server: Shared memory connection was closed. Tape fatal error.

The job isn't finished yet as it's still running other linked jobs, but I recall last time I had to do this, there is no "retry" available. Will I need to circumvent this by creating a temporary tape job linked to the backup job that failed?

Indeed there is no retry option for backup to tape job but it should be possible to start active full backup manually. I've added your vote to this feature request. Thanks!

Would this only do the files/vms that were missed, or would it do the whole job again?

This will initiate full backup from scratch.

That's what I thought. I have neither the time window, nor the tapes to spare for such an activity unfortunately.
