after change clean tape,cannot recognise as clean tape in veeam

Hi all,

After replace the old clean tape, the Veeam detect the new clean tape as data tape in Unrecognised pool, but when we inventory it, during the intenvory the tape icon will become clean tape, but when the inventory finish, the tape icon backup to Data tape. When we inventory the tape library in Veeam, that Clean tape will inventory again and show the clean tape icon again but back to data tape finally.

In the tape library portal, seems the media load of clean tape increase by inventory action.

Customer mentioned the clean tape don't have barcode label, is it the reason the inventory cannot recognise the tape is clean tape?

In a library or autoloader each tape should have a label, or else neither Veeam nor the library can recognize it. That's the reason why Veeam will add a new tape with every inventory.
A cleaning tape label needs to start with CLN in order to be recognized as such.
