After Tape Drive Exchange Library is Offline
Well I have already opened the Case #07148607 but Since you guys seem to be real fast I might aswell ask you.
FYI I am Somewhat new in Veeam with Tapes.
My Tape Library Worked until recently when we had an Error with the Tape Drive. Now a colleague of mine replaced that and it is shown properly in the WebConsole. Status of the Library aswell as the Drive is ready again.
But after we replaced the Tapedrive there seems to be an error in Veeam. Now the whole library appears offline and the new Drive is nowhere in sight.
Do I need to configure something additional there?
Thank y'all going foward

Re: After Tape Drive Exchange Library is Offline
Hello Jan
Welcome to the forum.
Is the tape library with the new drive discovered as a new device in windows (device manager)?
The case is missing a current log package. I only see a screenshot of the issue.
Please always upload a log package. Our support team cannot investigate this issue without the logs.

Check in the library that the control path is allowed as well for the replaced drive.

That is indeed not the Case. As far as I am concerned I should see it if there was a connection as a Medium Changer Device?
I could send a log page, but since the logs are only displayable for jobs, objects and selected components I didn't think that would be much help.
Greetings,
Jan

As an addition I'd guess there is no direct connection established and this has been forgotten by my colleague?

Hello,
For everyone that might be having the same troubles.
The solution in my case was rather easy, change the directly plugged in cable - Problem solved.

Jan
