"After this backup" scheduling option slow to start

For this first time I've used the "After this job" scheduling option to start a tap job after another one. The first job finished at 10.06pm, but the second one didn't start till 11.13pm. Why the delay?

The first job was File To Tape, the second one was Backup To Tape.

The Backup To Tape job should start right after File To Tape is finished.
Have you experienced it just once so far?

Yes, this is the first week we've tried running it this way.

Would a Backup to Tape job automatically wait till the backup it's going to back up is finished? I didn't think to check what time it finished.

The job should start anyway and if the source backups are locked the backup to tape job is to wait.
However in your case there is no point to schedule the tape job run when resources are busy.

It looks like the Backup To Tape job was waiting for the Backup to disk job to finish creating the files for it to back up.
