Is it possible to backup files to tape from a NAS with Veeam B&R V7 ?

Yep, using new “file to tape” job, you can copy files/folders to tape from Windows or Linux machines added to your backup infrastructure. Thanks.

Hi,
i want to backup some folders from my Netgear Readynas 2100 to Tape but i cannot add this NAS as FileServer.
What i'm doing wrong? Do i havet to add it as linux server?

I want to save folders from nas to tape !!

How are you adding the NAS to the console? Have you mounted it to a Linux box and adding this server to the backup console?

Hi,
no. I havn't mounted the Raedynas to anywhere. Thats my question, what's the best way to backup the readynas?
The Readynas is linux based, may be its possible to connect iot directly to veeam backup?

No, unless it has SSH and Perl installed.
