Hi all,
I have a project to backup an ESX 6 infrastructure witch SAN Fiber Channel (FC) to an IBM TS3100 which contrain an IBM Ultrium LTO6 connected to a LENOVO SAN Switch.
The Veeam Backup Server is a VM stored on the SAN FC.
The LTO6 will be connected to the SAN witch the Switch FC. So no directly attached to the ESXi server.
Will it be possible that the VM Veeam backup VM on the SAN storage to a tape connected to the SAN via Fiber Channel ?
Thanks for your futurs answers

Re: Backup to IBM TS3100 and LTO6 via switch FC
Hello Jérôme,
In general, you need to install a tape proxy component on a windows machine with direct connection to tape library. If thats possible your backup to tape should work.
