Backup to Tape- Data transfer

Dear Team,

I created a Backup to Tape job which includes three backups. When I edit the job, the total size of the VMs is 23 TB, but in the job history, only 7.2 TB is transferred. This Backup job is supposed to perform a weekly backup.
It can use three Tapes but next to 7,2 TB is x1- what is the meaning from x1?

Hello Hrasnica,

Transferred represent the actual state, showing how much data has been transferred during the last job run. Total size may represent the size of entire backup chain sitting on the disk (which might be valid during the first job run to a simple media pool). Thank you!

yes but it should do a weekly BAckup it means, when Backup to the disk get some error, that i can restore all my VMs from Tape.

Should not be a problem - backup to tape respects the states of the backup files in Veeam B&R. That means if the backup file is incomplete or corrupted (basically anything that ends up with red failed state within the primary backup job), backup to tape job wont process such restore point and notify you about the skipped backup.
