Hello Community,
we use a Forward incremental Backup and want to copy this on a tape every day.
We have a full backup on sunday and than 6 incremental backups on the other days and every day after the backup Job we want to copy these files to tape.
But the copy to tape jop only copy the file on this day, but we want the files from the whole weak.
For Example: Backup Job on thursday and only copy the .vib from thursday. But we want the vbk. from sunday and .vib from monday to thursday on this tape.
So we need only one tape for restore. How I can configure this?
Thanks in advance

Re: Copy to tape
Hi dollarsmavericks,
Can you please clarify how your tape media pool is configured (specifically media set creation option)? Have you enabled incremental backup in tape job properties? Thanks.

Re: Copy to tape
The incremental backup Job is enable.
Media set creation: Do not create, always continue using current media set

Re: Copy to tape
The only option you seem to have here: switch job to one of forever backup modes (either forward or reversed one) and leverage file to tape job with daily full schedule. Thanks.
