Dear all,
I recently added few tape used which was Symantec Backup two years ago & added now in Veeam tape backup job & getting below mentioned error
before adding i also did make it free, kindly advise how can i overcome with this error
Tape erasure finished with error.
Data error (cyclic redundancy check). Tape erasure finished with error.

You shared your contract number (03*******). I removed it from your post.
Please provide a case number from an active support case. The last case about tape issues in your organization is from December.
As a first troubleshooting step, try to clean your tape drive (with a cleaning tape). If it still doesn't work, use a tool from your tape drive vendor to erase the tape.
