Dataset Names for monthly retention, if months are missed?

Hello together,

for long term storage, we generate monthly backups. Now, our library ran out of available tapes, and the notification about it vanished
in the deep sea of outlooks inbox

For this months tape, tapes have been refilled, BUT:

- The data archived is correct, files are from 2023-11-05
- The Tape however is named according to the dataset sequence with a date of 2023-06-04

Is this a bug, or a feature?

Will Veeam continue to use an outdated month (as tape label), or is this just the case, because it was basically the 180th retry of 2023-06-04?

The date in the media set name is the date of the media set creation. I expect it to be the current date when the job starts a new session the next time. Can you monitor the job and report back?

Will do, that would be my assumption as well.

Just checked the Naming today, and as expected:

- December-Backup picked up the right name again.
