Hi Guys,

According to the release notes of Veeam 7 R2 (http://www.veeam.com/kb1831) it should be possible to disable the tape system in Veeam 7.

Added ability to disable tape device rescan completely with the DisableTapeSubsystem (REG_DWORD) registry key. This can help in situations when the same tape devices is shared between multiple backup solutions.


I am looking for the correct path to create this registry key and the value..
Anyone who can help me?

It's in the standard HKLM\SOFTWARE\VeeaM\Veeam Backup and Replication hive. Set it to 1 to disable the tape device rescan operation.
