Drive locked successfully messages

Good Day

Since i updated VBR 9.5 to U4, i get the following message on one Tape Job:

11.02.2019 08:41:42 :: Drive 2 (Server: server.domain.com, Library: HP MSL G3 Series 1180, Drive ID: Tape0) locked successfully
11.02.2019 08:41:44 :: Current tape is GXZ406L4
11.02.2019 08:42:03 :: Drive 2 (Server: server.domain.com, Library: HP MSL G3 Series 1180, Drive ID: Tape0) locked successfully
11.02.2019 08:42:05 :: Current tape is GXZ406L4

The message does shows up over and over again and no data is written to tape. i also used another catridge and another tape drive from the library...
Any Idea how to fix this? it seems that not all jobs have this problem, some work well.

Update: Changed Library Config to "Use natvie SCSI commands instead fo Windows driver". One Drive in the Library works now, the othe one not...

Please open a support case and share your case ID. This issue should be investigated by our support team but they might already have the workaround. Thanks!

got feedback from support. seems to be a know problem in this version (U4) of VBR 9.5.
We have some Retired Medias (separate pool). -> go to this pool, select all media -> right click -> protect.
After this, tape jobs should run fine again. at least it does in our environment.

Glad to hear that the solution helped and thanks for your patience.

I can only add that the issue was listed in the RN (page 20) and will be fixed in future releases.
