I was cataloging several old tapes (LTO5) written with a prior VBR server (v10 and 11) in a tape library.
VBR (which is now running on v12) was set up new in the past WITHOUT restoring from .BCO (therefore no tape catalog was existing).
Problem: reading the catalog VBR/tape server encountered a CRC error - and stopped further processing of the other tape cartridges
Feature request: as it makes absolutely NO sense that the cataloging process simply stopping with an error caused just by one tape ignoring the others a change of that behavior
-> so that even experiencing one damaged tape (content) to carry on cataloging the others in the job.
Regards!
