Is there any limitation for filename or extension length of a folder when attempting to do a restore with FILE FROM TAPE RESTORE.
Need clarifications as to what Veeam says about this.
Are there any limits to the count of folders in a parent folder

Re: File from tape restore filename or extension lenght limi
Hi ahsankhan,
As far as I know there are no file name limitations for file to tape backup from backup server side. Same for number of objects in a single folder. Keep in mind that if you are going to backup a huge amount of objects via file to tape job (million or above) – it’s recommended to use a SQL server standard edition instead of a bundled SQL Express

Re: File from tape restore filename or extension lenght limi
Hi Dima,
I also coudln't find anything published from Veeam about file extension length limit that is why I asked to clarify. I was conducting some testing and I encountered this issue.pasting logs from the restore job. This is Restore files from tape job that generated these errors, this error was on few files which were skipped by veeam due to this error. all other files in the same folder were recovered successfully.
Need some help with this
