File to Tape - Empty Folder question

Hey all,

i have a problem with a simple File to Tape Job.
My goal is to backup our file archive from the fileserver to tape. Simple an straight.

I have added my file server to the backup infra struktur with correct fsadmin credentials. My problem is now, when i am trying to add some special folders in my filestructure to the job, i only got the root folder on my server. I cannot browse deeper in the structure. Please see attached screenshot for details.

Maybe i miss something?

Could you tell about your source repository, is it deduplicating storage appliance or shared folder backup repository?
By the way, what is your current product version?

Hey,

thx for the warm welcome .

We are using veeam backup and replication 9.0.0.1491.
The repository is a non deduplicating iscsi storage from a nettapp.

veeam wont save empty folders from source to tape?
i try restore folders to hdd and all files is here, mb is correct but not number of folders because some of source folders is empty.
no big deal but ask to know.

I compare folders with winmerge. report tell me that is source have 28 more folders than destination (tape) and all of this is empty folder on source side.

That`s correct, file to tape job doesn`t copy empty folders.
