A couple weeks ago strange issue starts to happen sometimes. File-to-tape task may hang until cancelled. In this time veeam constantly writes logs of this task to archive. Size of archive is 2-4Gb.

Re: File to tape task hanging
Could you give more details, please?
Do you receive any message when the file to tape job is cancelled? Does it write files to the tape at all?
Thanks!

Re: File to tape task hanging
I found couple of errors in mail like "Volume F: have 137708 problems. Details: File not found.Session has timed out". Task was executing for 2 days before this exception occured. In other cases I stopped task manually.
Source is file server with Server 2012 R2. Destination is tape library IBM TS3200 connected to this server.

Re: File to tape task hanging
Any chances that some files on the source were modified/deleted while the job was running?"Volume F: have 137708 problems. Details: File not found.Session has timed out".

Re: File to tape task hanging
Yes it`s possible. I will make some changes in my backup schedule and see what will happen. Thank you.
