we are using Veeam B&R version 9.5 and have activated the automatic drive cleaning. We are currently in dialogue with the technical support of the drive manufacturer and they now want us to do a manual cleaning of the drive. With our former backup software it was effectual to insert a cleaning tape, it was automatically detected and the drive got cleaned. We got a positive feedback about that because the time of cleaning was recorded in the properties of the drive. In Veeam this feedback is missing. Can anyone tell me how to force Veeam to clean the drive and how we can verify this?
