GFS with past Restore Points

Hello,
maybe i got a problem regarding the understanding of a new Backup to Tape job.

We have a Backup Job which runs now for over a month, i thought i could create a Backup to Tape job and select "ALL" at the question about the Backup Chain, so Veeam puts the old restore Point into the GFS Media Pool at the first run.

Is this possible to import the old Restore Points into the GFS Media Pool / Backup to Tape Job ?

You can make backup to tape job copy already existing points. However, you cannot do so with GFS backup to tape job - only new backups will make it into GFS restore points. Thanks.

Thanks for your answer. So i could do a Monthly Backup with the existings Restore Points in an Normal backup to tape job and start my a GFS Job for future Backups ?

Correct, if you want to archive current restore points, use backup to tape job just once and then stick to GFS backup to tape job to meet GFS requirements. Thanks.
