HP DataProtector and Veeam, Backup&Replication CE
Hey,
Since some time i have Veeam for backup VM on VShare. It is set: 14day restore points, full backup at Saturday.
Backup data are archive via HP DP on tapes - full at weekend and inc1 work weekday.
Today i register that HP DP backup every day the same files vib and vbk which are archived in past 13 days. IMO it should only last vib or vbk which wasn't backuped on tapes.
What could be wrong?

Greetings dz!
If ex-HPE\Microfocus solution doesn't work the way it supposed to be it, is best to ask on their forums for assistance.
Veeam's Tape jobs would do the needful! =)
/Cheers!

What could veeam could change in old files that HP DP think that's files has change.
If I look at modify\create\accessed it's not changed since backup.

I think, why not just use Veeam's native tape integration instead? You may be on Community, but I think you get file to tape still, no? And since you have periodic full backups, it should be straight forward to do the exact same thing with one application instead of two.
There's really no sense in asking here about what makes Dataprotector do what You can just get rid of it completely and use Veeam.

Community Edition surely does have unlimited File to Tape functionality! You can offload backup files(.vbk\.vib\.vrb) to tape on a schedule at no cost.
Check it out in our User Guide and give it a shot!
