IBM TS3200 Tape Library Drives disappear

I have an IBM TS3200 Tape Library with two LTO drives. I have a failure when one job is done the drives disappear for about 15 seconds and i can't get the next job started.

When I disable the second drive the jobs work properly.

Does this product only when a library has a single drive?

No, there is no such limitation.

I was having drives disappear on my TS3100 and my issue boiled down to driver installation type. I used the install_exclusive.exe when I should have used the install_nonexclusive.exe to install the drivers.
For me the drives were still appearing in device manager when VBR dropped them (makes sense since it was the drivers locking the drives out).

Not sure that this will fix your issue as my problem wasn't helped by disabling 1 of the drives but it may be a start for you.

Is your library Fibre Channel through a fabric?

Just wanna confirm that using "install_nonexclusive.exe" fixed this problem with our TS3200.
