We have a "File To Tape Backup" job that runs daily, which performs an incremental backup of the following file extenstions: *.vib; *.vbm; *.vsm; *.vsb.
The job has been running fine except for this past weekend. It now is backing up files that have been previously backed up to tape.
Any suggestions on what logs/events to view to determine why all the files are being backed up to tape?

Re: Incremental backup is backing up all files not just chan
We believe that we may have found the problem.
Files on tapes that have reached their expiration date, but the same files that are still on disk may be getting backed up again.

Likely to be the case, indeed. Another thing to watch for is file modification date, some scheduled activities might easily update it (think antivirus, etc.).
As the result, files will be treated as "new" ones from backup server perspective.
Thanks.
