Case number: 05069772
Hi All,
I have some regular full backup jobs on every weekend and the VBK files will be backed up to tapes on the same day for few months without any problem. However, recently Veeam says there is not enough space for the VBK files while there is no significate change in the VBK files' size. To test this, I have tired to perform one of the backup tasks to back up a 2.1 TB VBK file to tape and the result showed that there was only one file backed up to the tape but the file became 3.5-3.8TB in the tape after backup
Could someone please advise what might cause this. Please find my brief configuration below.
Veeam backup and replication version: 10.5
Configuration of disk backup
Data Compression: Optimal
Retention Policy: 14 points
Incremental backup: on weekdays
Full Backup: Saturday
Displayed result
Processed data size: 2.7 TB
Transferred data size (VBK file size): 2.1 TB
Actual result in disk
VBK file: 2.1 TB
Configuration of backups to tape
Full backup: Saturday
Process latest full backup chain only: ticked
Displayed result
Processed data size: 2 TB
Transferred data size: 2 TB
Actual result in tape
VBK file: 3.5-3.8 TB
Cheers,
CMIS

Re: issue on BACKUPS TO TAPE
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
As far as I see, logfiles are missing that the case. If someone should be able to help, logfiles are required.
As you say that it worked fine for several months, please let support check for the reason. It makes little sense to guess on that issue on a forum.
Best regards,
Hannes
