Hello,
Is there a way to mark a tape as "Retired"?
I was unable to find any "solution".

Re: Mark a tape as "Retired"
Hi Eric,
The Retired Media Pool is a special one that cannot have tapes added / removed manually; tapes get moved to Retired based on alerts returned by the tape hardware itself indicating the medium has reached an end of life state.
Two simple ways I can think of to achieve the same:
1. Create your own media pool for retired mediums and mark the tape as protected
2. Use the physical write protection switch on the tape to prevent further writing to the tape
Or both if you desire -- Veeam will no longer be able to use the tape except for reading data.
