More drive simultan usage

Hi all,

We have got 2 libary with 2-2 drive. I would like to use all drive in more than one backup job over one media pool. The all drive simultan usage not work, the system use randomly the tape drives.

What can i do?

Hello Adam.

You can use parallel processing within one tape library (span backup chains across all tape drives). For secondary library whithin sinle media pool you can configure tape library failover (some customers are using it to setup cross library parallel processing but the problem is - job switches back to primary device on the next start). I'd recommend you to add the secondary device to Veeam B&R console separately and configure another Media Pool and separate tape job.
