We had to change the tape library after a hardware failure. I removed the old the new tape library from the media pools and added the new tape library to the media pools as described in the veeam user guide and all online tapes now assigned to the new library, whereas the offline tapes (all in one media pool assigned to the new library) still show the name of the old library in the tape list.
Now the next step is to remove the old library. Is it save to do that or will I lose all information about the offline tapes as they are still assigned to the old library?

Re: Offline tapes after hardware change
Hi tomluna.
It is safe. Tape library removal will not cause it's tapes removal. They will apper online as soon as you place them to the new library and rescan that library as described in the UG.

Hello lyapkost,
so I dared to remove the old library and yes - all tapes still there. Thank you.
