Any movement on this? I am currently backing up folders to get rman to tape, but would love to be able to dump specific backups to tape instead.

No significant movements so far and no ETA but we fully understand the value of the request. May I ask you to clarify why would you like to back up to tape specific files only and not all backup files?

Additionally, can you please share some specific schedule needed in your opinion for RMAN backup processing to tape or current options are good enough? I wonder if you are looking for additional restore options as well, or recovery to a staging repository is ok? Thank you in advance for your feedback!
