I currently have a scenario that could be beneficial if Veeam had the capabilities to write directly to tape. Basically, having tape as a repository instead of just a secondary backup location.
Could this possible be a addition or a feature in Veeam for future releases?
Thanks
Brian

Re: Possible new Tape feature
Hello and welcome to the community Brian,
Veeam B&R follows disk to disk to tape approach, where tape is used for long term archiving and as a secondary destination. Thanks for sharing your request – its highly appreciated!

Re: Possible new Tape feature
So could there be a feature for Veeam B&R in the future that would allow a backup to be configured to write directly to tape? Or will Veeam always be a disk to disk to tape approach?
Thanks
Brian
Thanks

Re: Possible new Tape feature
Never say never, but priorities are given to the features (and feature requests) that fall under definition of the best practices. Thanks.
