RDX Media does not eject after Update to 12.1
Hi,
after the Upgrade to 12.1 the RDX medium does not eject, either not with the physicall eject button or with the software RDX Manager (error Medium in use). We changed the Backup Repository to "Use per-machine backup file" and detached the previous backups.
Does anyone have the same issue?

Hello Oliver,
Veeam B&R does not manage the RDX systems via tape support engine, instead it acts as a standalone repository with rotated drives. Please check with RDX system support team as it looks like the issue with RDX itself. Thank you!

thats not a problem with the RDX system. We have different systems with the same configuration and we can replicate the problem after Upgrading to 12.1.
It seems like any process from Veeam B&R is in use and blocks Windows from eject the Media.

Indeed during backup or restore activity the backup could be locked by the process but that's not related to the RDX eject functionality itself. Possibly the RDX some how checks the locks of files and blocks the eject functionality? Can you possibly disable the jobs pointed to RDX and then try to eject the cartridge? Can you see any other activity that might be running in B&R console that could potentially block the cartridge ejection? Thank you!

No, there is no job running. I also disabled the job already. The only thing that helps is restarting the server.

Can you please try to disable all Veeam services (instead of restarting the server) if that possible and check if the issue still persists? Thank you!
