Really Slow tape backups

Backup has suffered a great speed degradation over the past few months. Support says it is an issue with Storage Array. Storage Array Vendor says there is no issue with it.

Can you provide some of your methods of testing disk reads on storage paths to prove that it IS or IT IS NOT storage disk issue?

Hey dude!

It is strange that our support engineer did not provide you with the following support KB article created exactly for that... in fact, it is so popular that I remember the KB ID by heart: KB2014!

You're looking at the Restore section, as Backup to Tape jobs read backup files to send them to tape.

Hello,

As Gostev diskspd on Windows or Linux would be great on the repo. What is your current bottleneck? Does it change during last month? Have you checked the attenuation of a fiber link?

Unfortunately can't be parallelize on windows test tools.
