hi there,
I'm trying to decide on what standalone LTO6 drive would be best to purchase to work with our Veeam 8 Enterprise server.
I couldn't seem to find any LTO6 drives on the unofficial supported drives thread.
I was looking at a Tandberg LTO-6 HH tape drive (3534-LTO). Is this likely to work?
Appreciate any advice on this?
H

Hi,
As it's been mentioned:
As it's been mentioned:
Thank you.<...>as long as, the correct drivers (OEM drivers from device manufacturer) are used and given library/drive is shown properly in Windows Device Manager under correct name (as opposed to generic device), it should work smoothly with Veeam Backup and Replication

Re: recommended LTO6 tape drive
Hi Al,
All LTO3 or later tape libraries and standalone drives should work with no issues, including the one you`ve mentioned.
You can search the tape subforum to see what other users think about the particular hardware.
Thanks!
